Love Is…………….From The Village Love To A Broken Heart. Part Two

Continuing the posts from the Love Is dance concert hosted by SPAN/ I-Extreme…. This starts with a classic village love scene with the maidens by the stream washing clothes and the guys trying to catch their attention. A little show of manliness and agility definitely catches the lady’s eye to the potential of her lover...

Onyido Nkemjika – Ketchup On A Photoshoot

Ketchup!!! Kai Ketchup is funny o o o o!! I almost had a fit shooting this. Down to earth, No chip on his shoulder, humourous. That is ketchup. We shot this on a beach close to Silverbird Cinemas. We were harrassed by area boys of course and parted with 3000 nigerian naira for coming to...

Malik and Tracy – The Village Wedding And The Single Call Spot

Malik-and-Tracy---The-Traditional-Wedding-005-(single)

Malik and Tracy did their Nigerian Traditional Wedding in Tracy’s village, Mosogar in Delta State. It was interesting being in that kind of evironment away from the hustle and bustle of Lagos. Weddings around the Delta region are very different from the ones in the west so this was definitely a “breath of fresh air”. Malik is from...

He needs no introduction. Neither does she. Love introduces those it wishes and the rest is life. I enjoyed the company of these two people how much I cant say.  Timi is so full of life and Busola of wisdom. This is a perfect match. If i was a woman, my eyes will stalk Timi but...

Efe and Oyin had a unique wedding. Their signature was on their day and this is something you do not find easily in Nigerian weddings. You will notice that the pictures are built around the groom. Relentless Builder - February 22, 2012 - 7:43 am

Akara, I cannot say either what inspired all the poetry on your part, but the pictures speak a lot about the personality of the couple and the depth of their affection for each other. I have never seen a groom walking to church and I was quite impressed. At some point, I forgot it was a wedding and thought it was the honeymoon or a private party. You did an awesome job of capturing this couple’s special day, and I particularly liked how you told the story from the groom’s perspective.
