Kemi and Tosin: The Haven Event Centre Wedding, Ikeja

My Dear Kemi,

The Post.

Regards

Akara

Now thats a private mail. You should not read other peoples mails. Jeez!!!! Did nobody teach you that?  Read the part for you below.’

Kemi and Tosin are an awesome couple and if opposite attracts, then opposites have attracted here and love cannot be better described. Their story can be found on their pre wedding session page

There was something I loved about Kemi on her wedding day and that I will recommend to any bride getting married. She enjoyed herself on her day. She had mad fun. She was fun to be around. She cared less about the mundane things and focused on the love she was celebrating. She was bubbly and bursting at the seams with energy.

Tosin was the calm, calculated, focused one but around Kemi, he lost a lot of that CCF and joined in the fray.

The day began…

And slowly Kemi began to unravel

Kemi and Tosin did something i have always advocated. They saw themselves before going to church and we took “fresh” pictures of them.  And the entire train. This was one huge wedding. We had the Oni of Ife in attendance, all the way from Ife to Lagos. There were enough Obas to last a millennium of successions, all the vice chancellors in Nigeria were present or represented. If you weren’t here, you are definitely not a vice chancellor. We had so many Professors, PhDs where irrelevant in the scheme of things. It can be understood when you put into perspective the fact that the son of the VC of the Obafemi Awolowo University was getting married.  The number of dignitaries inside the church was enough to frighten a bride. but in the presence of Tosin, the smiles were out again. I just loved the way Tosin looked at Kemi. So much Love in one look.  The dancing started and no one could beat this guy.
The reflective moments where plenty and this pair seemed to be solidifying their future 😉

as Kemi and Tosin solidified theirs.  the serious moments in the wedding when you think about how long ago you did this and laugh about the things that had happened in the course of the journey. After all the ceremony Tosin took his wife out  and the reception delivered as much as it promised.
The Governor of Ondo state was the chairman of the day and he gave a brief and succinct speech.
Large weddings like these usually result in everyone coming with a photographer in Nigeria. The Uncle of the bride, The Nephew of the groom, The grooms mother, the brides sister, The Uncle of the brides aunty, The Sisters of the inlaws of the brides in laws. Everyone comes with a photographer. Scream from now till tommorow how you are the official photographers and you are met with a deaf ear and a cold stare that says, so who is not the official photographer? These kind of weddings require astute human relationship skill to deliver on your brief.

Tosin and Kemi’s first dance was beautiful with lots of lovely stares at each other that spoke volumes.
