Abdul saw a flower in the garden of the Ladele’s and he came in full force to pluck it.
It was a beautiful Yoruba introductory ceremony and it was fun from the prostrations to the swaying dances, the back and forth wranglings to the beautiful native attires.
Iduroti’s dad requested for the ceremony to be straight to the point
“Young man pluck the flower you came for”.
Abdul was so excited he couldn’t stop smiling all through and his dance steps…..lol.
All was going on well with preparations, make up and all…until
O! sorry i was telling you a story…..Until Iduroti heard “her Abdul” was around. She lept off the floor to the window struggling to get a view of “our Abdul” .
When finally Abdul came up he was so excited he couldn’t stay still. He was itching to see his flower arrive.
and what payment was extracted. He was asked to do press ups uncountable times……well not really press ups….its called Dobale in Yoruba…..its a means of greeting elders that conveys absolute respect by prostrating flat on your face.
Iduroti came out looking so beautiful, i am sure Abdul had palpitations.
Those dance steps……. The beautiful siblings of the flower.
