The Country Shoot Of Kelly and Oge

I work out of Lagos, Kelly works out of Port Harcourt, we had to find a common ground to meet up to do this prewedding session so we settled for Abraka and had the most amazing shoot in the country side.

Abraka is a university town in Delta state. It is the home of the famous Delta State University and so we started our shoot from the grounds of the the university.

We moved to a nearby village, Oria, where we saw this beautiful avenue of trees And then to yet another secondary school in yet another village close by with a beautiful green field. Initially the couple where not so relaxed, but i guess soon enough with the singing birds and cool of the evening they soon got chatty and touchy. Just before we would leave for our next destination we decided to play a sport………………… Football!!!

Kelly came up first and he showed no mercy in his goal.  It was scored with brute force and Oge had no chance. Oge quietly retrieved the ball Executed a Beckham like run and took a well placed penalty. She left Kelly floundering!!! Go girl!!!! We left the villages for the oil town of Warri, but the oil rigs and refinery weren’t our focus. The couple spend the last part of the evening seating watching the boats and service ships sail into the town from a beautiful bridge along the Delta Steel Company express way. It was a moment of peace and romance. Finally it was time to go home but I remember this shoot with fond memories. Delta State University is were it all started. This was where I developed an interest in photography looking at the likes of Memories, Ogini and co. These are some great unsung Nigerian photographers in the Niger Delta region Kelly and Oge are getting married in November and I am looking forward to this wedding.

Thanks for your time in admiring this post.

Mucho Gracias.

It’s always nice to see a photo shoot outside Lagos, and I particularly loved the quiet, tranquil feel of this one. I wish the couple all the best as they get married in November, and kudos to you Akara. It’s good to remember your humble beginnings.ReplyCancel
