Continuing the posts from the Love Is dance concert hosted by SPAN/ I-Extreme….
This starts with a classic village love scene with the maidens by the stream washing clothes and the guys trying to catch their attention.
A little show of manliness and agility definitely catches the lady’s eye to the potential of her lover to be
and before long the love is mutual.
what started with a seeming lack of interest from this young girl ends with all smiles and a heart won.
This was a classic show and the expression on the faces in the crowd should tell you how intense it was.
Finally Mr Nweke Icee performs his paint while a dance lasts favourite.
And we see a more modern love scene in this dance where a lady is taken to a restaurant to be wooed by a man in love.
Afterwards comes up a lovely romantic dance by Icee and Ukalina. This beautiful dance pair are a beauty to behold any day. Infused within was a hip pop dance routine The entire event was narrated by Frank and Yinka Davies and their own performances were spell binding. Finally we get a Musical interlude by Timi Dakolo who sings a beautiful love song in that his soulfully raspy unique voice and back to more dancing and violent love relationships where the lady beats up the guy or the guy suppresses the lady with rage and violence.
Yet we searched for the meaning of love still. For it is definitely not violent or dependent on agility and physical prowess.
