Abby can best be described by the determination with which she hunted me down and maintained that relationship through her wedding day. Go to my Facebook page, Abby’s name pervades every picture I post and you will understand.. She practically threatened me into shooting her wedding as she was not going to accept less. Lol
Abby and I have come a long way. We started talking close to a year ago about her wedding. When Rotimi saw me he said, Akara, these pictures had better be awesome cos you are the only one left that I am still fighting with for Abby. Faced with such emotional blackmail, I had to be ready to deliver.
Abby was a wonderful bride!! Inspite of the stress family pours on you on your wedding day and their desire to take over your day, she remained calm and focused on the task ahead. Marrying Rotimi.
So it was time to get ready and this was going to be one hectic day. Abby and Rotimi decided to do both white and traditional weddings on the same day, and its never easy. You need all your wits about you to stay sane on such a day.
As with all weddings, we had to start with the make up.
Beautiful right? Yea!! Abby’s mom in her glory! If you thought this was the bride, its ok, I was equally surprised when I saw her. I guess Rotimi looked into the future when he picked Abby.
As Abby gazed into the rising sun, I wonder what was on her mind.
…………but i know what was on this make up artist’s mind; to make this bride so beautiful, Rotimi’s heart will miss a beat. She succeeded.
Abby was determined to have her photographs taken for posterity, so despite the fact that a lot of things where done in a rush, she took out time for her photographs.
Eventually though, she had to rush off. Rotimi was not left out of the equation. Thanks to Faith Wilkie, his preparation was beautifully captured as well. See some of her pictures on http://faithwilkiephotos.photoshelter.com/ Rotimi was glad to see his family He was even more glad to see friends he had not seen in years. Soon the event was on its way and you know how Yoruba weddings go…..if you don’t, see my narration here http://www.ogheneworoakara.com/3891/the-true-yoruba-royal-wedding-taiwo-olashore-and-olawunmi-jide-taiwo/
In a bit, we were done with Rotimi and Abby’s traditional wedding and we were set for the white. See the beautiful photographs here in a bit.
